Is Chemistry Hard?

Chemistry is first taught in High School at a basic level. In high school, students get taught the fundamentals of chemistry as well as carry out some basic experiments. To pass chemistry with good grades in high school you need to pay a little attention in class as well as do your assignments. So, chemistry in high school is 4/10 for toughness.

General Chemistry is taught in colleges and universities. It is also called the basic level of chemistry for college students. Students dive deeper into topics whereas in high school students look at a topic from a broad view. It could be challenging for high school students to jump to general chemistry. General Chemistry is 6/10.

Organic Chemistry is the most challenging subdiscipline of Chemistry. Where students have to explore the structure, properties, and reactions. It includes learning tons of reactions and having a good knowledge of carbon compounds. As organic chemistry is one of the toughest subdisciplines of chemistry it gets a 8/10.

Now, if we do a quick recap of high school chemistry and try to understand how it is compared to college-level chemistry. We can conclude that it is fairly easy, but still, it requires some attention. You just need to understand the concepts it’s no rocket science.
